Blockchain Bob Interviews Dane Christensen – A Pioneer of the Digital Frontier

Dane Christensen Digital Marketing AIBlockchain Bob: Well howdy, Dane! You’re one of the OGs of the web, ridin’ since the early days of the internet frontier. Tell us—what got you started on this wild digital ride?

Dane Christensen: Thanks, Bob. It all started back in ‘95 when I got my hands on a book called The World Wide Web Unleashed. I turned it into a seminar series called The ABC’s of the Internet and founded MentorNet – The Internet Living Center in San Francisco. It was all about helping folks understand this new digital world.

Bob: That’s some real pioneer spirit right there. What was it like wranglin’ code and buildin’ websites in those early days?

Dane: Wild and exhilarating. I taught myself HTML, JavaScript, and CSS—then moved on to app development with the LAMP stack, server management, SEO, marketing automation—you name it. The internet was a blank canvas, and I loved painting on it.

Blockchain Bob: You’ve seen boom times and busts. What did the DotCom days teach ya?

Dane: Adapt or get left behind. I went through the boom—and the bust—with my longtime collaborator, Rich Benvin. It taught me how to pivot, how to stay lean, and how to keep innovating. I’ve spent 25 years in Silicon Valley, working with startups and Fortune 500s alike. In between, I helped clients on Upwork and earned their trust with 100% success.

Bob: Word is you’ve joined the Blockchain Bob posse. What drew you to this dusty trail of crypto, tokens, and Web3?

Dane: Blockchain Bob is everything I love: creativity, education, community, and technology—all wrapped in a mission to make crypto fun and accessible. I see it as a chance to use every tool in my kit to help build something lasting. From storytelling and UX to marketing automation and strategy—I’m all in.

Blockchain Bob: What can the BOB community expect from ya movin’ forward?

Dane: Strategic vision, creative firepower, and a relentless drive to grow the ecosystem. I’m here to help shape the roadmap, improve onboarding, and scale the $BOB project into one of the top educational crypto experiences out there.

Blockchain Bob: That’s the kinda grit we like around these parts. Final question, partner—what’s your motto for building in Web3?

Dane: Learn fast. Build smart. Always stay human.

Blockchain Bob: Welcome to the trail, Dane. Now let’s saddle up and ride toward the future of blockchain education.
